kingdom of god
The Kingdom of God
Throughout the life of Jesus, He only preached Kingdom. Nothing else. In the Lord's Prayer, methods, service modules and gender inequality have absolutely nothing to do with Kingdom. Just so, in Matthew 6, as Jesus taught about praying for the Kingdom to come, He also included in His teaching (verse 33) about seeking the Kingdom and His righteousness (implying walking in His Ways) then the rest will be added (life, hope, joy, and strength and spiritual prosperity). Therefore, it is clear: We need to seek the Kingdom above all else, but we can only walk in the manifested reality and glory of the Kingdom once we walk by Spirit, implying surrendering first our kingdom.
God of Law and Order
God is a God of order. This is the reality. He is not a lawless God. Still today we run the risk of stepping out of God's order and becoming lawless ourselves because of our misconceptions of, for example, the Law of Moses. Indeed, we may not be under the Law, but even before the Law in the days of Moses, God has always been a God of Law and Order. And despite being under the New Covenant, His Law and Order still exists. This volume of work explores, therefore, the themes of law and order, based on Scripture.
In Pursuit of Truth and Doctrinal Unity
Can the church of today truly be united in doctrine? This is a burning question it seems of late, and one of pressing urgency. For most, the answer will be a resounding 'no'. We are after all divided on so many things regarding doctrine, just consider the debate around the Trinity, predestination, the work of the Holy Spirit, and the Law and grace. Granted, we will be divided on some things, which are fine, but such things as we will mostly find are religious. And yes, as children of God we can still work together because of doctrinal differences, but maybe, just maybe, the church is falling into a rather strange trap of delusion and deception, and this trap is accepting division as being the norm and the status quo.
The Ten Commandments
So why are we talking about the 10 Commandments? For many, the first reaction is that it belongs to the Law of Moses and, therefore, should be viewed as outdated, archaic and even obsolete. It is, however, because we have forsaken the 10 Commandments and misunderstood still the importance of God’s commandments that we sit with a Church that has become lawless, lacks the fear of God, and shows trends of rebellion, carnality and sin. Sadly, and to our detriment, we no longer regard His laws and commandments as being valid or important.
The Fallen Tent
It has been a while since the Lord spoke about restoring the tent of meeting. By the shed Blood of the Lamb, God’s presence is now not contained within a physical structure, for God now makes His home within man by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as believers, we have BECOME the tabernacle of meeting. Through our interpretation of church, the tabernacle today sadly remains a physical structure instead a spiritual one. The church of today has evolved away from the foundational concept of divine interaction, relationship and Covenant participation, which forms the spiritual tabernacle (house) in service to God. It is time to rediscover God’s true intent and purpose for the Tabernacle, and how we are to restore what has fallen and become lost over the centuries.
