perilous times
Destructive Isms of our Age
The Church needs to urgently deal with the destructive ‘isms’, which include humanism, secularism, individualism, pessimism, existentialism, traditionalism, racism, and moral-revivalism to name a few. Yet the church has hardly truly countered these forces, and so struggle with their deadly influences within her own ranks while struggling to make an impact in the world. Just as Joshua needed to drive these pagan tribes from the land in order to thrive and prosper in the will of God, just so the Church needs to address the influences, ramifications, scope and magnitude of these deceptive ideas and thoughts.
Restoring the Altar in Times of Apostasy
More than ever we live in the reality of 2 Thessalonians 2, which refer to the great falling away or rebellion. The Greek word translated as “rebellion” or “falling away” in verse 3 of the Scripture is apostasia, from which we get the English word apostasy. It refers to a general defection from the true God, the Bible, and the Christian faith. In such perilous times, a great need exists to seek the Lord, to follow His will, to obey His truths and to follow His narrow path of holiness. To restore the altar is truly to be a living sacrifice in service of God – a servant who will not compromise with the world and who seeks to only glorify God above all.
Darkness Descends Part O|ne and Two
It is time for the Church to wake up and wake up fast! The world is slipping into spiritual darkness, and this is a very slippery slope yet it seems the spiritual watchmen – the believers in the Lord – are not raising an alarm on the hills. We are dangerously ignoring Ezekiel 33 which speaks of the watchmen who should be alert to the dangers that come against the Truth. This is the same danger that is threatening to envelop the Church from the inside, for the insidious nature of the enemy’s strategy and plots to steal and deceive is going on unchecked. The enemy is real and he is very active. And in this time as spiritual darkness descends on the world, we need to shine the light of Christ to pierce the blackness of deception and enslavement!
Overcoming Great Deception
More than ever we live in the reality of 2 Thessalonians 2, which refer to the great falling away or rebellion. The Greek word translated “rebellion” or “falling away” in verse 3 of the Scripture is apostasia, from which we get the English word apostasy. It refers to a general defection from the true God, the Bible, and the Christian faith. In such perilous times of deception and spiritual corruption, a great need exists to seek the Lord, to follow His will, to obey His truths and to follow His narrow path of holiness. To restore the altar is truly to be a living sacrifice in service of God – a servant who will not compromise with the world and who seeks to only glorify God above all.
Pitfalls and Dangers Part One and Two
Apostle Paul writes about the last days that will be perilous, and we are certainly living in such a time. It will offer a great opportunity for the Church to fulfil the Great Commission, but it will also be a time of great danger and threats. Perilous denotes something which holds danger, thus there are things that will happen in the last of days that will pose a danger unto believers, but at the same time, believers must also avoid such pitfalls lest they become perilous (a danger) to others. These are indeed the days of great strife, apostasy, and deception, and more than ever holding one to faith and God's truth has become of paramount importance.
End of Days, God’s Kingdom and the Dragon’s Empire
This volume of work provides an oversight of the Book of Revelation, the restoration of Israel, debates on the final temple, the last kingdom of the dragon, the religious pot and the subsequent ramification of the ‘beast’ on the Church. As children of God, we are ultimately reminded God wins and we destined to reign!
Guarding the Gates
There is a clear and intentional onslaught against the spiritual ‘gates’. This has been revealed by the Lord. This is not an attack for the ‘now’ but an attack that has always existed. This is an attack that is escalating, intensifying and becoming more vicious than ever before. It is an attack to lead people away from God, thus an attack on the destruction of the person.
Fire on the Mountain: Addressing Idolatry
There is a fire on the mountain. It is a wildfire of apostasy tearing through the church, fuelled by idolatry. It is because of the winds of false doctrine that this wildfire keeps spreading, and it has been causing massive damage for hundreds of years to the church. Yet the fire is not being checked, addressed, or effectively extinguished by believers. The fire of apostasy has been receiving plenty of fuel for the last 1800 or so years to be a raging inferno. Yes, there is a profane fire burning on the altars build on the spiritual high places. An increasing level of idolatry and spiritual apostasy plagues the world and the church.
